MOTORCYCLE riders who drive without helmet, read this.

The Land Transportation Office has raised the penalty of those who will be caught not wearing the protective head gear to P1,000 from the previous P150.

LTO chief Alberto Suansing said hard-headed motorcycle riders who used to ignore the law, will now be forced to wear helmets to avoid being fined.

Suansing said a number of deaths in motorcycle accidents were caused by severe head injuries.

He also reminded motorcycle drivers that having two or more back rides is also a violation. But a back ride without a helmet is also a violation that should be penalized.
